Canvassing Your Flyers

Something I have learned today. Which led me to do my research about the city I'm in. If you are starting your business and part of it is to spread your business through passing flyers, make sure you look into your city of soliciting permit. That way you avoid any angry potential clients/residents in your neighborhood.

Step 1: Research your city policies or regulations when it comes to soliciting.

Step 2: Ask about the soliciting permit and to see how much it cost.

Step 3: Once you have the information, pay your business permit to do canvassing or passing your business flyers.

Step 4: When you get your permit number, make sure you add it to your flyer at the bottom area or a corner and put the city you got your permit from.

Step 5: Beware of “NO SOLICITING” sign placed on the residential homes.

Step 6: Make sure you do not place any of your flyer on the mailbox (it’s considered illegal/felony because the mailbox is considered the property of the US-Post office).

I hope this helps anyone who is about to start their local businesses in their neighborhood!

Cheers,
